The landscape for the NCAA playoffs continues to take shape and with the revelation of the College Football Playoff rankings, there is a lot of things yet to be determined but the main top is pretty much settled.

Several teams changed their position on the list, except for the first four spots, as the Oregon Ducks remained in first place, followed by the Ohio State Buckeyes, Texas Longhorns and Penn State Nittany Lions.

Oregon Ducks fans erupt in jubilation with new ranking position

However, this ranking that was made public has a lot of shake up after the number four spot after all that took place in this past weekend in the nation with teams maybe on verge of heading out.

The craziness of college football

The Indiana Hoosiers fell to tenth place, and that was not the only move as the Notre Dame Fighting Irish slipped to the fifth place. To many the real surprise was however that Army dropped out of the Top 25, leaving the way open for Miami at number six.

The SEC's Georgia Bulldogs and Tennessee Volunteers followed and then the SMU Mustangs come into place. It is to be noted that eight SEC teams are ranked in the top 25 this week.

There are five Big Ten teams, five Big 12 teams, three ACC teams, two Mountain West teams and one AAC team. This of course guarantees absolutely nothing heading into the last few games of the regular season.
