Antonio Brown caused a stir on social media after directing a racial slur at a Notre Dameplayer following the Fighting Irish's win over Georgia in the Super Bowl.

Notre Dame came out on top 23-10 to book their place in the Orange Bowl against Penn State on January 9. While the victory was a big one for the program, Brown seemed to be more interested in singling out junior cornerback Charles Du.

"C-k of the Day #CTESPN," Brown wrote while quote tweeting an ESPN post showing Du's jersey with his name spelled out in Chinese.

Du comes from Beijing before later attending high school in California and ing Notre Dame as a walk-on. He hasn't featured in a game this year.

While Notre Dame usually don't have players' names on the back of their jerseys, they have opted to do so for the College Football Playoffs.

It isn't the first time Brown has made headlines for his controversial views and comments on X.

He has gone after Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce and his girlfriend Taylor Swift, Tom Brady and his ex-wife Gisele Bundchen and Caitlin Clark. He's also compared former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Matt Canada to Adolf Hitler.

Notre Dame riding wave of momentum

Notre Dame's win over Georgia comes after they took down in-state rivals Indiana in the first round.

They will now take on Penn State on January 9 in the Orange Bowl, with the Fighting Irish opening as slight favourites.

The other semifinal pits the Ohio State Buckeyes against the Texas Longhorns in the Cotton Bowl on January 10.

The National Title game will take place in January 20 in Atlanta.
