A heartfelt tribute from Jordon Hudson
Following Belichick's announcement, Hudson shared his post on her Instagram story, adding a personal message: "Witnessing your growth this year has been both an honor and a blessing. Just when I think you couldn't possibly impress me more than you already have, here you go again, impressing me. I love learning from you & I love, love, love loving you. Congratulations @billbelichick."
Her words quickly caught attention, highlighting the strong bond between the couple, whose relationship became public last year.
A year of firsts for Belichick
In his official announcement, Belichick described 2024 as a year of "unexpected firsts." Not only did he transition from coaching to media appearances, but he also made a surprising move to social media and now, to publishing.
"My life in football over the last 49+ years involved a lot of winning, losing, and more than anything: learning," he shared.
Belichick emphasized that his book will explore the key lessons he's gathered from legendary players, rival coaches, and his father, Steve Belichick, a revered football coach himself. His goal? To provide readers with insights that can be applied beyond the game, in leadership and teamwork.
Despite stepping away from the NFL, Belichick isn't done with football. He recently took on the head coaching role at the University of North Carolina, marking his first foray into college football. His Tar Heels will kick off their season against TCU on September 1.
Between coaching, media work, and his new book, Belichick continues to redefine his legacy on and off the field.
