Travis Hunter is one of the most exciting football players to watch currently and his career in the NFL hasn't even started yet.
The dual threat - as a cornerback and wide receiver - put up some impressive numbers with the Colorado Buffaloes that earned him the Heisman Trophy.
Under Deion "Coach Prime" Sanders leadership and superstar quarterback Shedeur Sanders - who's expected to be one of the top picks in the 2025 NFL Draft -, Hunter captivated the nation with his massive talent, his athleticism and the ion he puts into the sport.
Hunter shows incredible skills and raises his stock
Travis Hunter posted a video on his YouTube channel where the Georgia native is seen engaged in intense offseason workouts that include some very impressive footwork on a basketball court that shows just how talented the Buffs former cornerback/wide receiver really is.
His training sessions before the 2025 NFL Draft didn't go unnoticed by social media s who praised Hunter's abilities. "I don't care what he runs. Turn on his film. Look at these workouts. This is insane. At no point is he even winded! I wish this young man nothing but continued greatness!" posted a YT .
"When the trainers say, 'we have to remind ourselves that what we're seeing isn't normal', you know we all are witnessing something special." posted another . "Bro really is a tremendous athlete. Not once did I see him get overworked or have to take a break from exhaustion, he kept pushing like it was nothing." commented another person.
His NFL draft score has a lot of praise
Travis Hunter is an exciting two-way player whose world-class athleticism and ball skills help him shine on both sides of the ball, according to his NFL Draft scouting report. It adds that Travis is an instinctive, natural football player with a feel for making the biggest plays at the biggest times.
"He was the best player on his team by a long stretch. On offense, Hunter gets by on talent over technique but will need to smooth out the journey from press release to catch with better route running. He has the burst to uncover over three levels with ball skills and catch focus that are reminiscent of DeVonta Smith in his Heisman Trophy-winning season." the report states.
NFL scouts agree that Travis Hunter's cornerback tape was solid in 2023 and improved across the board in 2024. "Hunter takes his skills and instincts from receiver and transfers them to cornerback, where they amplify his ball-hawking talent and production (...) plays with excellent anticipation from man or zone with burst and playmaking range that should terrify quarterbacks." The ceiling is very high for this generational talent.
