Shedeur Sanders, once considered a top contender for the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, is seeing his draft stock fluctuate as teams explore multiple quarterback options. Despite an impressive college career with the Colorado Buffaloes and strong interest from several franchises, his projected draft position remains unpredictable.

According to reports, Sanders is scheduled to work out for the Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns following Colorado's pro day on April 4. The Titans hold the first overall pick, while the Browns sit at No. 2, making these workouts crucial in determining his final draft placement. However, recent developments suggest that his status as a top selection is far from guaranteed.

Competition and shifting team needs

While Sanders remains a high-profile prospect, other quarterbacks are emerging as serious contenders. Former Miami Hurricanes QB Cam Ward recently worked out for the Browns and is expected to meet with the Titans as well. This adds another layer of uncertainty to Sanders' draft position, especially as teams weigh their options in a deep quarterback class.

Additionally, the New York Giants' recent decision to sign veteran quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston suggests they may no longer be targeting a QB with their No. 3 pick. This move could shift the entire draft landscape, potentially pushing Sanders further down the board.

Sanders remains confident despite uncertainty

Despite the fluctuating projections, Sanders is maintaining a positive outlook. Speaking to NFL Network's Bucky Brooks, he acknowledged the unpredictability of the draft process but emphasized the importance of learning from experienced mentors, including his father, Hall of Famer Deion Sanders.

"A lot of things aren't in your control," Sanders said. "Getting the knowledge from Dad, coaches, family, and friends-it's extremely important. I'm thankful that I have those resources."

With less than a month until the draft, Sanders still has time to solidify his position. His performance at Colorado's pro day and private team workouts will be key factors in determining where he lands on draft night. The 2025 NFL Draft is set to take place from April 24-26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where Sanders will finally learn his fate.
