Bill Belichick may be gearing up for his return to football, but it's his personal life that's grabbing headlines this week.

The former New England Patriots coach and his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, found themselves at the center of controversy following a tense moment during a recent CBS News Sunday Morning interview.

Hudson abruptly halted a reporter's question about how she and Belichick met-a topic the couple has openly discussed in the past.

Whilst the initial story had been that they met on a flight back in 2021, the nature of this interjection led many on the internet to speculate that there may have been something a little more transactional about their romance.

The move sparked immediate backlash, with critics questioning whether the couple was dodging the subject. Belichick quickly issued a statement defending Hudson's actions, explaining she was merely trying to keep the interview focused on his new book.

"She was simply doing her job to ensure the interview stayed on track," he said, denying any effort to avoid personal questions.

CBS has refuted Belichick's explanation

CBS News, however, contradicted that explanation. In a formal statement, the network insisted there were "no preconditions or limitations" on the conversation.

They emphasized that this had been confirmed with Belichick's publisher before and after the interview, framing it as a typical, wide-ranging discussion.

While public debate continues over the couple's media strategy, attention has also turned to Hudson's growing real estate empire. The 24-year-old former cheerleader has built an impressive portfolio in just under a year, positioning herself as a serious player in Boston's property market.

According to Realtor.com, Hudson began making large-scale purchases at the end of 2023. She acquired three properties in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, converting the first two into multi-unit apartment complexes.

Each unit reportedly rents for as much as 5,000 dollars a month. Just weeks later, she closed on a third property, priced at 3 million dollars, boosting her total monthly rental income to approximately 17,675 dollars.

In addition to her investments, Hudson also listed a 610,000-dollar home in Harwich, Massachusetts, as her personal residence. All of these acquisitions occurred while Belichick was still at the helm of the Patriots. He stepped away after the 2023 season and will resume coaching this fall with the University of North Carolina.

As Belichick prepares for a new chapter on the sidelines, Hudson is simultaneously expanding her business ventures, though public scrutiny remains. Questions continue to swirl about the nature of her relationship with the coaching legend, especially in the wake of the recent interview flap.

Still, one thing is clear: Jordon Hudson is building her own legacy-one property at a time-while standing alongside one of football's most iconic figures.
