Travis Hunter may have already made the leap to the NFL, but his younger brother Trayvis Hunter is building a path that could one day sur even his older brother's legacy.
Trayvis, just 15 years old, has shown flashes of elite ability as a wide receiver, earning attention far beyond his Springfield, Georgia roots.
Playing at Effingham County High School, the Class of 2027 prospect might only be 5-foot-7 and 135 pounds, but what he lacks in size, he makes up for in instinct, speed, and raw skill. And he's not doing it alone.
Trayvis has benefited from mentorship under 2015 NFL MVP Cam Newton, who's been investing in young talent through his 7-on-7 C1N team.
Newton's enthusiasm for Trayvis was evident again on June 7, when a video of the teenager cutting through defenders at the Adidas-sponsored "Boneyard" tournament was posted by the "Cam Newton 7V7" Instagram . Newton himself dropped a one-word, all-caps reaction in the comments: "-1ØV." That kind of validation from a former NFL superstar says it all.
Adidas partnership and family-first mentality are fueling Trayvis' journey
But Trayvis isn't just riding the wave of potential-he's already making serious business moves. Last December, just two days before Travis Hunter won the Heisman Trophy, the Colorado star proudly announced that Trayvis had been included in a personal deal with Adidas.
The emotional video showed Travis celebrating the moment: "Welcome to the Adidas family, dawg! I had to get you a little deal! I ain't g nothing that ain't got no family involved."
The fact that Adidas agreed to include a 14-year-old at the time in a deal shows just how confident they are in Trayvis' future.
At OT7's spring showcase, he exploded with a breakout performance against the City Reapers, catching two touchdowns and demonstrating next-level football IQ. Observers noted his field vision, quick acceleration, and his ability to read defenses.
The Hunters clearly have a blueprint. Just as Travis used Cam Newton's C1N program to leap from high school stardom to Jackson State and later Colorado, Trayvis is following the same model.
