Antonio Brown's bankruptcy could be a lie: He is accused of having hidden properties

Former NFL star Antonio Brown may face his bankruptcy filing being dismissed after allegations surfaced that he failed to disclose critical financial information in court. The accusations came to light through court documents exclusively obtained by In Touch.

A trustee overseeing Brown's Chapter 11 bankruptcy case has raised serious concerns about the former football player's handling of his finances.

According to the court documents, the trustee filed an objection to Brown's proposed repayment plan, stating that the 36-year-old had not disclosed key assets and had failed to comply with necessary debtor reporting requirements.

The trustee's filing outlined several major issues with Brown's bankruptcy proceedings.

"[Antonio] has failed to disclose his pre-petition [transfer] of property and his interests in various entities, has not timely or adequately complied with debtor reporting requirements, and cannot establish that his Plan is feasible," the trustee stated.

Alleged failure to disclose assets

One of the significant accusations in the filing was Brown's failure to report the transfer of three properties before he filed for bankruptcy. In addition, the trustee pointed out that Brown appeared to own multiple social media handles, including a significant following on his X page.

The page links to a website that sells products featuring Brown's likeness, which the trustee argues are estate assets that were never disclosed in Brown's bankruptcy filings.

The trustee also raised issues regarding Brown's financial transparency, specifically his failure to submit timely operating reports for September 2024 and October 2024, which are essential for understanding his current financial standing.

The filing further criticized the inconsistency in Brown's financial disclosures, noting contradictions between his reported monthly income and his actual financial activity. According to the trustee, Brown claimed a gross monthly income of $39,166.67 and monthly expenses of $27,868.09.

However, the operating reports showed only a $200 deposit in June 2024 and two $15 debits in the following months. The trustee highlighted the lack of explanation for over $195,000 of unexplained income and expenses, calling it "impossible to determine" the accuracy of the financial documents filed by Brown.
