King Charles III might feel like he is currently in the United States of America as he is getting stuck into a sport that he presumably has never played before.
The head of the British Royal Family has been trying his hand at American football, a sight that few probably ever expected to see.
Charles has paid a visit to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in North London, a soccer ground that was built with the intention of being repurposed to host the occasional NFL match.
NFL player Efe Obada was there to give Charles some pointers on how to throw the American football.
The occasion was to celebrate Tottenham Hotspur's work with the local community and partnership with the NFL which provides young people with increased access to free sporting activity.
Obada is a British player who currently represents the Washington Commanders at defensive end. The 32-year-old was cheering Charles on as he attempted to throw the ball towards a net with hoops.
A strong display from King Charles
"I loved his energy, the fact that he came in here willing to get stuck in," Obada said, per The Telegraph.
"His technique was immense. I wanted him to get a hoop, in the target, but he was just having a good time. We talked about the NFL and he's a fan. He's going to watch the games."
The royal family's social media s shared a clip of the King's toss, captioning the video, "Showing us how it's done."
Charles may have to wait a little while to act on his newfound interest in NFL with the season having come to a close earlier this week.
The Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl at the expense of the Kansas City Chiefs who were searching for an unprecedented three-peat.
