Earlier this week, the Buffalo Bills secured their future by g quarterback Josh Allen to a groundbreaking six-year, 330-million-dollar contract, which includes 250 million dollars guaranteed, according to ESPN.
This deal sets a new benchmark in the NFL, becoming the largest guaranteed figure ever given to a player and the second-highest annual value in the league, following only Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.
Despite the huge payday, Allen made a selfless decision by taking less than he could have in order to help the Bills front office continue to build a championship-caliber team around him.
Speaking about the reasoning behind his decision, Allen offered fans an insight into how he made his choice.
"What's five more going to do for my life than what I can do right now? I wasn't looking to kill them every chance I could and told my agent that," Allen declared.
