The Carolina Panthers should be thrilled with their rookie quarterback.

When the Carolina Panthers drafted Bryce Young first overall in April, there was no doubt in their minds that they got their franchise quarterback. Carolina had traded away a bevy of assets in order to get the first pick, so they were clearly sold on his immediate and future potential.

The New York Jets took a much different route this offseason. They essentially gave up on 2021 second overall pick on Zach Wilson and acquired four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers in order to finally fix their quarterback situation.

Two separate paths with the same goal of getting to one eventual destination: the Super Bowl.

The Panthers are in good hands

On Wednesday, the Panthers and Jets held their first t practice ahead of their meeting in the first week of NFL preseason on Saturday. Young and Rodgers went toe-to-toe showing off their quarterbacking abilities, and the rookie ended up impressing just about everyone.

Speaking to the media after the practice, Rodgers had this to say about Young: "I like the kid a lot. I loved watching him in college. I like his demeanor, I like his movement, I like the way he throws. I trust a guy like Adam (Thielen)... and he just raves about him. So, I think Carolina is in good hands."

Rodgers wasn't the only person on the other side who was impressed by Young out there. Jets head coach Robert Saleh praised the rookie as well.

Young is fully expected to start from Week 1, and fans will now have their expectations set relatively high after this latest round of positive reports surrounding their franchise quarterback.
