Dillon Gabriel is embracing the competition. Amid the chaos of a crowded quarterback room, the Cleveland Browns rookie finds motivation both in the competition with his teammates and in the happy news his girlfriend, Zo Caswell, just shared with him.

The challenge in the Browns' quarterback room is just beginning. With veterans Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett battling for the starting job, Gabriel and fellow rookie Shedeur Sanders are in a fierce race to achieve the highest possible spot on head coach Kevin Stefanski's depth chart.

This kind of pressure is nothing new for Gabriel. "I've done it at every stage and at every level," the Oregon product recalled, "So thank God for that and for the excellent preparation." What's more, Gabriel has just received news that will motivate him even more in his competition for a spot on the Browns' final roster.

Zo's surprise for Dillon

Zo Caswell is Gabriel's most fervent irer. She has been with him every step of the way to reach the NFL and was the first to congratulate Dillon when the Browns selected him 94th overall in the 2025 Draft. However, now it was her turn to shine.

Their families broke the good news: Caswell had just received her MBA. Although they didn't reveal what degree she earned, her sister, Elleu, was one of the first to congratulate Zo, saying "Congratulations to my sissy for getting her MBA," on her social media.

Gabriel's brother, Roman, also sent a congratulatory message via Instagram. He shared a photo of Zo wearing her graduation cap, simply captioned, "Congratulations." Although Dillon hasn't made his congratulations public, we can assume he already did so in person.

What Gabriel thinks of Sanders

With rookie minicamp in full swing, Sanders and Gabriel are vying to get Stefanski's attention. Amid the pressure, Dillon has shown poise and maturity, aware that the competition is more with himself than with Sanders.

"I want you to know that my competition is yesterday. How can I be better than yesterday? That's what I'm focusing on, and I'm continuing to create an environment that people want to be a part of," Dillon stated, making it clear that to sur Shedeur, he must first sur himself.
