- Cleveland Browns. Shedeur Sanders and the Browns face an NFL cold shoulder as the league keeps them away from the media spotlight
- Cleveland Browns. Cleveland Browns rookie not named Shedeur Sanders considered one of the steals of the draft by Greg Olsen
The NFL is expected to have an exciting season, and the events of the offseason are just a taste of how thrilling the league can be. There's no doubt that all eyes will be on the new stars arriving, though two of the most prominent won't get the chance to shine in Prime Time.
Neither Cam Ward nor Shedeur Sanders will even have the opportunity to play in one of these electrifying Prime Time games.
Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward Miss Out on Prime Time
It's clear that Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward face different situations with their teams. While one was the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans, the other plummeted to the seventh round and was picked up by the Cleveland Browns.
The only certainty for now is that neither will play in Thursday Night Football, Sunday Night Football, or Monday Night Football-the days recognized as the NFL's Prime Time slots.
For the former Miami Hurricanes star, this could be a tough blow, though if he remains the number one starter for the Titans, he'll likely get his chance on this big stage in the future.
On the other hand, as we've mentioned before, Shedeur Sanders' future remains uncertain. His journey to the NFL has been turbulent, with several analysts initially projecting him as a first-roundquarterback only for him to fall to the seventh round.
Moreover, he's currently competing with another rookie, Dillon Gabriel, and veterans Kenny Pickett, Joe Flacco, and Deshaun Watson, for the starting quarterback role with the Cleveland Browns.
It's fair to say that Shedeur isn't even guaranteed to play in the NFL, making this wait all the more agonizing for him.
We'll have to wait some time to see if Shedeur Sanders manages to play at some point in the 2025 NFL season, or if he'll remain just a promise that never materialized-a fate all too common in the NFL.
