- Cleveland Browns. Shedeur Sanders already feeling the pressure from Cleveland Browns veterans, and tension is rising for the young quarterback
- Cleveland Browns. The decision has been made with Joe Flacco on the Cleveland Browns, and Kevin Stefanski has updates on Shedeur Sanders' future
Amid the fierce battle for the starting quarterback position within the Cleveland Browns, there was a moment of respite for a good cause. The 25th annual golf tournament was held, attended by all of the coaching staff and some players, with Dillon Gabriel and Kenny Pickett standing out-though notably, Shedeur Sanders was absent.
And that absence is already news. Had he attended, it would have been a media frenzy, but it's striking that two of the four quarterbacks vying for the starting role didn't show up to this event, which raised funds for the Stay in the Game - Attendance Network program of the Browns Foundation, promoting the importance of school attendance.
Dillon Gabriel with a great shot and demanding attention
One of the most eye-catching posts on the Browns' official features Dillon Gabriel, a recent NFL Draft pick, making an impressive golf shot and then saying, "Put that on Twitter!"
Some might see this as a confident remark, while others view it as a call for attention, especially since it's no secret that Shedeur Sanders is the most popular rookie.
Just read the comments on the post, where one wrote, "This is not Shedeur, take this off Twitter."
Meanwhile, Kenny Pickett also made an appearance, sinking a solid putt in another video shared by the team.
Two of the four quarterbacks competing for the starting spot were at this charity event, which head coach Kevin Stefanski highlighted as an opportunity for team bonding.
"As you come together as a team, you want to spend time with each other, whether you're going out to get dinner or lunch or spend time over the weekend with each other, so this will be fun. I'll make sure that whoever captures some of these swings, I'll include them in the team meeting tomorrow. The guys enjoy being out together, and this is what we do. We have a few guys that enjoy the game of golf, so you'll see a few of them, they've been around town playing and, you know, this is just another way for them to be around their teammates."
