The Dallas Cowboys have a kept a low profile when it comes to free agency so far this offseason.
That itself shouldn't be a surprise given owner Jerry Jones stated that would be the case, but recent reports suggest that things may have changed.
After being released by the Los Angeles Rams earlier this week, wide receiver Cooper Kupp is one of the biggest names still without a contract.
As per Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Cowboys are keen to sign Kupp. Although Dallas has one of the best receivers in the game in CeeDee Lamb on the roster, they lack a complimentary piece to lineup alongside him.
That's where Kupp would come in and bring depth to the Cowboys receiving corps, though Dallas will have to beat out several interested suitors.
According to The Athletic, the New England Patriots, Kansas City Chiefs or Denver Broncos could be potential landing spots for Kupp, as well as the Seattle Seahawks.
Either way, Schefter noted that a decision on Kupp's future could come as soon as Friday.
Kupp has been a force for years
Kupp is looking for a new team after the Rams released him before the start of the new league year on last Wednesday.
The move came after the Rams landed Kupp's successor, Davante Adams, to a two-year contract worth $46 million.
Kupp had three consecutive seasons with more than 90 catches prior to this 2021 campaign, when he led the league in catches (145), receiving yards (1,947) and receiving touchdowns (16).
He hasn't had more than 75 catches of 812 receiving yards in a season since then, and hasn't played in more than 12 game in a single season during that time.
