Green Bay has been the team leading the charge to ban it. In March of this year, the Packers proposed a bold rule change to ban the controversial "tush push" play, preventing an offensive player from assisting a teammate from behind once the play has started.

According to information from journalist Ian Rapport, the proposal seeks to reinstate the rule in effect until 2005, which would penalize any physical assistance to a runner, such as in the "tush push," with a 10-yard penalty.
