While many rookies spend their post-draft days caught up in media tours and endorsement deals, Hunter is back on a quiet pond in Texas, rod in hand, chasing the same sense of calm he's always sought.
In a recent vlog, the 21-year-old phenom took fans along for another fishing trip and, to everyone's surprise, reeled in a familiar face, or rather, fin. After weighing a 4-pound bass on his scale, Hunter realized it was the exact same fish he had caught just days earlier. His reaction? A wide grin and a classic one-liner: "Ol' boy came back for some more. Got him!"
Football pays for the fishing life
For Hunter, the NFL isn't about fame or fortune, it's about funding his dream of early retirement, where days are spent on a boat instead of a field. Long before his name was called on draft night, he made it clear that football was a means to an end: more time for fishing.
