It's almost football season once again, which means Kansas City Chiefs fans and Swifties will once again hold hands, hoping for Travis Kelce to win a Super Bowl while Taylor Swift cheers him on from the stands. It nearly happened again last season, but the Philadelphia Eagles shut that party down.
A lot has happened since then, particularly for Swift. While Kelce mulled retirement early in the offseason, Swift began fighting her own indirect demons. Swift's friendship with Blake Lively got put to the test, following the music superstar being named-dropped during her legal case with Justin Baldoni. That one detail has changed their relationship forever, apparently.
Conflicting reports about Taylor Swift and Blake Lively's friendship
According to Daily Mail, Swift has essentially cut ties with Lively. The decision to embroil Swift in the actress' legal problems didn't sit right with Swift. While a potential mending of their friendship hasn't been discarded, it may never be the same following what has transpired. It sounds like Swift is ignoring her for the time being, although that could change at any moment.
With Kelce completely focused on the Chiefs at the moment, Swift is practically alone in having to deal with the chaotic Lively situation. OTAs began last week for the Chiefs, which saw Kelce, Patrick Mahomes and all other players show up for work once again.
With football back in the fold and Kelce back to work, the period of the year where Swift and Kelce see each other less and less is beginning. Swift is not on tour at the moment, so she can focus her energy on putting every aspect of Lively's legal battle with Baldoni to rest.
