The Las Vegas Raiders fired now-former head coach Josh McDaniels a few days ago, due to the team's poor performance during his tenure, with a mediocre 9-16 record. Also, general manager Robert Ziegler was fired from his job by the Raiders.
In the meantime, linebackers coach Antonio Pierce was named interim head coach after McDaniels' firing. However, it is uncertain if Pierce will remain in this position for the rest of the season, as the Raiders are still looking for a long-term replacement for McDaniels.
Rison is ready for the challenge
Now, former wide receiver and Super Bowl champion Andre Rison is ready for an opportunity, as he said to TMZ Sports that Raiders owner Mark Davis knows his desire to become the team's next head coach.

Rison's NFL career
Rison played for the then-Oakland Raiders during the 2000 season catching 41 es for 606 yards and six touchdowns. He says that he started learning the coaching ways alongside superstar and Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, who is now reinventing the role at the University of Colorado Boulder.
Rison finished his NFL career with 743 receptions for 10,205 yards and 84 touchdowns, along with eight kickoff returns for 150 yards and nine carries for 23 yards.
