Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp suffered a low, lateral ankle sprain on Sunday when a Seattle Seahaws player stepped on his foot late in the second quarter of their Week 11 clash. He headed to the locker room and did not return to the field after halftime.
Kupp, 30, is not expected to miss much time over the ankle sprain, but it's still worth monitoring. Rams listed him as questionable to return against the Seahawks and declared out shortly after.
The lesion looks to be on the same ankle that required surgery last year due to a high sprain. He then missed the first four games of the 2023 NFL season with a hamstring injury.
Kupp has started five consecutive games since his return, tallying 275 yards and a touchdown on 24 catches.
Rams win without Kupp
Rams (4-6) were able to edge out a one-point win over the Seahawks (6-4) despite not having Kupp for the entire second half.
Puka Nacua caught Matthew Stafford's only touchdown of the day and Darrell Henderson Jr. rushed in another score.
Rams will likely have Kupp back for next Sunday's road game against the Arizona Cardinals. Seahawks, meanwhile, take on the San Francisco 49ers twice in the next three weeks with the Dallas Cowboys sandwiched in between.
