Matthew Stafford's wife, Kelly, calls out Vikings fans after Rams victory: 'It shouldn't happen'

Kelly Stafford, wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, recently opened up about an unsettling experience during the Rams' game against the Minnesota Vikings. Though the Rams came out on top with a 30-20 win, Kelly was disappointed by some fans' behavior.

On her podcast "Timeout," she shared how some Minnesota fans cheered when a Rams player went down with an injury, a reaction she found upsetting.

"They were doing the skol chant while we had a player down," she said. "And, you know, it just shouldn't happen. It really just shouldn't happen. We are all better people than that."

Daughters booed by fans in previous incident

This isn't the first time Kelly has faced hostility in the stands. During a wild-card game last season, Lions fans booed her young daughters, an incident that left her hesitant to attend games.

Despite those concerns, she decided to attend the season opener, hoping her husband's team would perform well.

Following the game against the Vikings, Kelly posted a lighthearted Rams photo showing Matthew Stafford winking, celebrating his strong performance in the 30-20 win, where he threw for 279 yards and four touchdowns.

"It's what you envisioned [for this offense] when training camp started and it's nice to have those guys back," Stafford said. "I said it earlier, but I really do think it was great for our entire team. It was great for our offense, obviously. I was so happy and proud for those guys to be back out on the grass with us, but also really big for our defense, our special teams,[because] everybody feels that when those guys are back in."

With the Rams set to face the Seahawks next, they'll be pushing to improve their season record.
