Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is preparing for his long-awaited return to the field.

According to The Athletic's Diana Russini, the plan is for Tagovailoa to make his comeback in the Dolphins' Week 8 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals next Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium.

His practice window is set to open on Wednesday, allowing him to ramp up his activity ahead of the game.

Tagovailoa has been sidelined since suffering a concussion during Miami's Week 2 loss to the Buffalo Bills.

The injury occurred when Tagovailoa collided awkwardly with Bills safety Damar Hamlin while trying to scramble for a first down.

This marked the third concussion of Tagovailoa's NFL career, sparking widespread concerns about his health.

Despite this, Tagovailoa remains determined to return and help his team regain their early-season momentum.

Dolphins' offensive struggles in Tagovailoa's absence

Without Tagovailoa, the Dolphins have struggled mightily on offense.

Since his exit in Week 2, Miami has been unable to score more than 15 points in any game, a stark contrast to their season-opening 20-17 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Heading into Week 7, the Dolphins rank near the bottom of the league in both ing yards per game (185.6) and points per game (12.0), highlighting the significant void left by Tagovailoa's absence.

As the Dolphins gear up for their Week 7 clash against the Indianapolis Colts, all eyes are on Week 8 when Tagovailoa is expected to return.

His comeback could be crucial in reigniting Miami's offense and helping the team turn their season around.
