Who could be so inspiring that fans are shaving all the hair off their face just to be like him?
Let me introduce you to Joshua Dobbs. Or, you know what? I'll let him do the honors.
Dobbs won his first game without knowing all his teammates names
A lot of people learned Dobbs' name on Sunday, which is ironic, because he didn't even know all his teammates names when he unexpectedly took the field for his Minnesota Vikings debut, a 31-28 win over the Atlanta Falcons, who are his hometown team.
He had only been with the team for a few days, and hadn't gotten to know everyone yet. Minnesota traded for Dobbs on Tuesday after Kirk Cousins went down for the season with an injury, making this the second time he's been traded this season.
In the past 12 months, Dobbs signed with the Cleveland Browns, the Detroit Lions, the Tennessee Titans, the Browns again, then got traded to the Arizona Cardinals in August and to the Vikings on Halloween.
When the Vikes' second string QB, Jaren Hall, got injured in the first quarter, Dobbs got thrown in while learning plays on the fly.
"This one was kind of learn as you go, hair's on fire, hold onto your seat, but guys were able to respond," Dobbs said after going 20-30 with 158 yards and two touchdowns in the air. When plays broke down, he put his legs to good use, adding 66 rushing yards and one TD.
He put together a miraculous comeback, culminating with the winning touchdown to Brandon Powell, a receiver he'd never thrown a to until warmups before the game, not even in practice.
Dobbs was showered with love afterward and said that his assignment for the week will be simple: he just has to learn everybody's name.
"I knew a lot of first names," he conceded. "And I know a lot of nicknames, per se. But names, that's ... an assignment for this week."
