Minnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell has praised his team's 'gritty' 23-17 win over the New York Jets in their NFL match in London on Sunday.

"Absolutely, a gritty, gritty win by our team. So many things that, so many moments in that game. So many things we talked about going into this football game that materialised especially. Got to give it up for our defence flow and those guys we needed them today.", Minnesota Viking head coach Kevin O'Connell said.

"Was not good enough to our standard on offence. Moments like this are where we lean into a lot of things that our organisation's built off of. Adversity, dealing with adversity together. No flinch. All three sides figuring out a way to come together and win a football game.", O'Connell said.

"For us to be able to go out there against a really good team and get a win like that shows you a lot about our resilience as a team. win's a win. I think our defence, our special teams played out of their minds today. I think as an offence, I think we just got to find a way to continue to play consistent football.",Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold also expressed his happiness with the win.

"The pre-snap penalties, the communication just has to continue to get better. But you know, as a whole, I feel like we're able to make plays when we needed to. But we just got to continue to get better that way.", Sam Darnold said.
