New Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham was arrested Friday outside a Southern California resort for suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and resisting police. New footage released by TMZ Sports shows the NFL player fleeing from hotel security before his arrest.
Graham, 36, was reportedly hiding in bushes before running away from a pair of security guards at the resort in which the team was staying ahead of Sunday's preseason game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Saints released a statement saying Graham was suffering from a "medical episode" and likely recovering from the effects of having a seizure moments before the incident.
Cops claim to have spotted Graham walking in the middle of traffic following a call about a man acting erratically on the street.
Graham has also played for the Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks. He has 8,506 receiving yards and 85 touchdowns on 713 career catches, is a five-time Pro Bowler, and two-time All-Pro.
