- Kansas City Chiefs. Sauce Gardner reveals the messages he sent that Travis Kelce ignored before he became famous
New York Jets cornerback Ahmad "Sauce" Gardner is known for his lockdown defense, but recently, he showcased his skills in a different arena-comedy.
Gardner took to social media to call out the popular video game Madden '25 for its questionable depiction of his teammate, running back Breece Hall.
Madden botched up Breece Hall's appearance
While Madden has done an irable job scanning and rendering realistic player likenesses for many NFL stars, Breece Hall appears to have been left out of that group.
The game's avatar of Hall bears little resemblance to the 23-year-old athlete, instead looking more like someone twice his age with a rapidly receding hairline.
Gardner couldn't resist pointing out the stark difference, roasting the Madden developers for their portrayal of Hall.
"I'm cryingggggggggg,"Gardner wrote in his post, adding, "They told me Madden needed to update your face, but I didn't know it was this bad."
The comment was paired with a side-by-side comparison that highlighted just how far off the mark the game's artists were.
Beyond the face scan, Madden '25 also seemed to slight Hall in the ratings department.
Despite his impressive performance last season, which included 1,585 yards of offense and nine touchdowns, Hall was given an overall rating of 85-ranking him just outside the top 20 among running backs in the game.
This rating comes as a surprise to many, especially considering Hall's breakout season and his high expectations for the year.
Hall, who was a standout on an otherwise struggling Jets offense last season, now has some extra motivation as he prepares for the new season.
Sauce Gardner, a favorite among Jets fans
Gardner's public jesting and the questionable Madden portrayal may just serve as the fuel Hall needs to deliver another dominant performance.
For now, Jets fans playing Madden might prefer to keep Hall's helmet on during games to avoid seeing the unflattering avatar.
But if Gardner's roast gains enough traction, perhaps EA Sports will take notice and update Hall's likeness to something closer to reality.
Gardner, who was recently ranked No. 38 on the NFL Top 100 list, has quickly become one of the league's elite defenders.
His ability to combine elite on-field performance with a playful personality off the field has made him a favorite among Jets fans and NFL followers alike.
As the Jets gear up for the new season, fans can only hope that Madden developers will make amends and give Hall the digital face he deserves.
Until then, Gardner's playful jab will continue to bring some levity to the offseason.
