Aaron Rodgers is not that enigmatic. Despite what the documentary "Enigma" says, there is not much mystery about why the veteran quarterback has only won one Super Bowl in a 20-year career. At least that is what analyst Skip Bayless thinks, especially when comparing him to Tom Brady.
Premiering on December 17, 2024, "Enigma" follows Rodgers during his rehabilitation from the injury that sidelined him for the entire 2023 season. NFL Films, Religion of Sports, and Skydance Sports produced the docies, consisting of three parts.
In the series, Rodgers talks about his relationship with fame, his spiritual beliefs, the gap with his family, and his controversial opinions on politics, society, and science. The title, however, did not convince Bayless, who considers that, on the contrary, the quarterback of the New York Jets is an open book.

Winning a Super Bowl did not satisfy Rodgers
After watching the documentary, Bayless said that contrary to what the series' title implies, "it is painfully obvious to me exactly what happened to Aaron Rodgers' career." The analyst considered that Rodgers himself explained it in the series: "After winning the Super Bowl, it hit him that winning didn't really make him that happy."
Bayless explained that Rodgers' response after winning the championship with the Green Bay Packers in the 2010 season was dissatisfaction. "His reaction was, 'Is this all?' There it is. I think he was expecting Nirvana, Heaven on Earth, and he got a trip back to Green Bay in a ring."
The veteran analyst compared Rodgers' disappointed attitude to seven-time Super Bowl winner Tom Brady's relentless drive to win. "But this is all why Aaron Rodgers, as I said from the start, is the flip side of Tom Brady."
For Rodgers, football is just a game
Bayless recalled that after winning his first Super Bowl in 2001, Brady"couldn't wait to win his second and his third and his fourth, and on and on and on, because Brady was still playing an extreme price to be in extreme shape and extremely prepared after he won his seventh Super Bowl."
The commentator explained that it has been 15 years since Rodgers won his only Super Bowl "because he was never, ever obsessed with playing his first Super Bowl. To Aaron Rodgers, football is just a game."
