After a challenging 2023, the Philadelphia Eagles were simply spectacular in 2024. They started slow but steadily improved, ultimately becoming the most balanced team in all aspects of the game, defeating Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl.

The ing offense raised some concerns throughout the season; however, their ground game was lethal, led by Saquon Barkley. The Eagles averaged 386.2 yards per game and 27.2 points scored, positioning themselves as one of the most balanced and effective offenses in the league during the 2024 season.

Additionally, in the playoffs, they scored a total of 145 points-the highest mark in NFL history-40 of which came in the Super Bowl against the Chiefs' defense.

The Philadelphia Eagles' running back was simply spectacular and dominant. In the regular season, he totaled 2,005 rushing yards, falling just 107 yards short of breaking Eric Dickerson's all-time record. He also scored 13 rushing touchdowns and earned the Offensive Player of the Year award.

During the playoffs, Barkley racked up 574 rushing yards and five touchdowns. His achievements, along with the leadership role he took on upon arriving in Philadelphia, earned him the utmost respect from his teammates, who now simply ire him.

In a recent podcast, Eagles star wide receiver DeVonta Smith expressed his amazement at Saquon Barkley's abilities.

"To me, Saquon, the best there is, man," he said. "The stuff I done seen him do. During training camp, you know I was watching him and I was like, 'Okay, he cold, man. He got it.'"

After a historic season, the former Penn State standout signed a two-year, $41.2 million contract extension with the Eagles, making him the highest-paid running back in NFL history.

Despite coming from a divisional rival, the New York Giants, Barkley won over the hearts of Eagles fans and can now proudly call himself a Super Bowl champion.
