There's no doubt the Eagles are having a great moment

The Philadelphia Eagles secured their second Vince Lombardi Trophy by defeating Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in the most recent Super Bowl, in a game where they were clearly superior, and the result was overwhelming, 40-22.

In that game in New Orleans, the Eagles sacked Mahomes six times and also intercepted him twice. On offense, Jalen Hurts had a great game with two touchdown es, and Saquon Barkley, although not flashy, was simply effective.

The Eagles came from behind during the season, and the playoffs were spectacular, defeating the Green Bay Packers, the Los Angeles Rams (a game they suffered at the end), and in the conference final, they crushed the Washington Commanders.

Jeffrey Lurie's Promise to Sirianni

The good news doesn't stop there for the Philadelphia Eagles. Now, the team's CEO, Jeffrey Lurie, revealed in an interview that the contract extension for coach Nick Sirianni is in the works.

"Nick is going to be our coach. We don't talk publicly about contracts, we never have, but I'm sure you'll find out soon enough that Nick will be our coach going forward," Lurie said. "He has done an outstanding job."

Nick Sirianni arrived in 2021 and is entering the final year of the five-year contract he signed at that time, so a new deal is coming. The head coach has a record of 48-20 and has reached the Super Bowl twice, both times against the Chiefs. He lost the first one and won the most recent one.

"Everything I had hoped for in Nick, he embodies, whether it's connection, intelligence in many ways-from football intelligence to emotional intelligence, managing people, hiring assistant coaches, and a growth mindset at all times," Lurie said.

The Eagles are favorites to return to the Super Bowl

In the betting houses, the Philadelphia Eagles are the clear favorites to return to the Super Bowl from the NFC, while to win the Vince Lombardi Trophy again, they are tied in the odds with Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
