Antonio Brown has issued a public response following an altercation at a Florida event Friday night that briefly resulted in him being detained by law enforcement.

The former NFL wide receiver found himself in the middle of a violent confrontation during a kickboxing event hosted by streamer Adin Ross, where video footage showed Brown being pulled out of a scuffle by security personnel.

Initial reports alleged that Brown had pulled a firearm and fired shots into the air during the chaos. However, Brown has pushed back on those claims, saying he was the victim of an attack and was never arrested.

In a post shared via his X (formerly Twitter) , the 36-year-old described the events from his perspective and confirmed he plans to take legal action against those involved in the altercation.

"Regarding the boxing event that happened last night. I was jumped by multiple individuals who tried to steal my jewelry and cause physical harm to me," Brown wrote.

"Contrary to some video circulating, Police temporarily detained me until they received my side of the story and then released me. I WENT HOME THAT NIGHT AND WAS NOT ARRESTED."

Brown denies arrest, hints at legal action

Although early reports suggested Brown had discharged a firearm, authorities have not confirmed any gun-related charges, and Brown himself made no mention of using a weapon in his statement.

He maintained that police only held him briefly to clarify the situation before letting him go.

"I will be talking to my legal council and attorneys on pressing charges on the individuals that jumped me," he added. "I will keep you all posted step-by-step on the process. Thank you for the and love."

Despite the intensity of the incident, there were no reports of serious injuries.

Security footage showed Brown being physically restrained and escorted away from the crowd, but he returned to the venue shortly afterward and ed Ross live on stream, appearing relaxed and even joking about what had transpired.

This isn't the first time Brown has made headlines for off-field incidents. Since his departure from the NFL, the former Super Bowl champion has remained in the spotlight through a combination of public controversies, legal challenges, and social media antics.

His post-football ventures have included music, business investments, and multiple appearances on digital platforms.

Still, Friday night's events highlight the unpredictable and sometimes volatile nature of Brown's public persona. With legal action now on the table and no formal charges filed, the full story behind the altercation may soon come to light.

Brown's willingness to speak publicly about the incident-while insisting he was not at fault-suggests he intends to stay in control of the narrative.

Whether the situation leads to court proceedings or fades from public attention remains to be seen.
