It is well known that sports show host Colin Cowherd has been in the middle of a lot of controversial debates throughout his career, but this time he might have gone a bit too far and everyone is having an opinion on the matter.
This time it was on a topic that involved San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy. Now, let's not forget that he has been criticized in the past but after his performance on Thursday night, Colin was comparing him to every other quarterback and made a shocking revelation.
He did picked Dak Prescott, Jared Goff, Jordan Love, C.J. Stroud and Jayden Daniels over Purdy, but when co-host Jason McIntyre asked if Bo Nix was better than him, Cowherd had an interesting take on the Denver Broncos signal caller.
The reason behind the statement
Colin Cowherd ended up saying that he "slightly" would consider Bo Nix better than Brock Purdy and he elaborated on the reason. "He's a more accurate thrower collegiately," Cowherd said, as he always does, with a lot of trust in his words.
"I think Bo Nix, by the way he's starting to settle in. He didn't inherit all these (George) Kittle, Deebo (Samuel), (Brandon) Aiyuk and all these wonderful toys to play with," and he added that "yes," Box Nix is better than Brock Purdy, at least to him.
Bo Nix struggled in the first two starts of his professional career, but since he has bounced back nicely looking a lot better and there is a lot of potential in him. But to say that he is better than a guy that earned a spot as starter battling his way up the depth chart might be an overstatement.
