Game Awards 2024 Prize: How much money will this year's winners take home?

Since 2014, the video game industry has recognised the best titles of the year at the Game Awards 2024, where all developers have the opportunity for their hard work to be recognised with a prestigious award.

While it was in 2014 that this award was recognized alongside others such as the Oscar, the Tony, the Grammy, the Emmy or even the Nobel Prize for Literature, the Game Awards have recognized important titles since 2003.

The rise of video games in the 21st century grew from 2001 onwards, particularly in the latter months, when development companies earned more revenue than Hollywood, partly due to the post-September 11 "depression"

How much money will the winners of the 2024 Game Awards take home?

Whoever takes home the Game of the Year (GOTY) title will receive a statuette, worth $2,500, which has a clause between the organizers and the winner, which prevents these statuettes from being sold at auction in the future.

While there is no cash prize as such, as the organisers do not plan to pay any money to the lucky winners of the award.

What developers can do is sell special editions of the titles, with the legend nominated or winners of Game of the Year, which increases their value in the market
