The problem of attracting new players to League of Legends remains present at Riot Games

The vast majority of people who have been able to enjoy Arcane have been captivated by a spectacular series, which has practically only created praise for Riot Games. But despite this, not everything related to the production has been good.

In many sources we can read that the Riot Games series has been a financial failure, having spent around $250 million on both seasons, although from within the company they seem to assure that the second season is on track to be at least a break-even point economically.

Riot Games had one of its best months in of gross revenue in its history in November, and it is obvious that, although the actual broadcast of the series is not profitable, it can be profitable in other ways.

Arcane was an absolute media 'boom'

One of the clearest ways to do this is to attract new players to the video game, a facet that is obviously the one most sought after by the company, which has been emphasizing this issue for years.

It's no secret that Riot Games finds this problem of attracting new players a difficult challenge due to the very nature of the game. But Arcane has been a springboard in this regard, opening up the League of Legends universe to all those viewers who have watched the series.

This may be due, in large part, to two main issues: the first, as we mentioned a few paragraphs above, is the nature of the game itself.
