Kamaru Usman appeared to suffer a knee injury during a training session with Justin Gaethj, but the fighter has been keen to give his take.

The welterweight fighter stepped forward just days ago to accept the job of replacing the injured Paulo Costa in the UFC 294 main event fight.

The fighter is coming off two losses and doesn't want to stall on a career that looked very promising.

"This is why no one reads this sh***y ass blog," Usman wrote on X, referring to an article that claimed he too was injured.

"At what point while I was lightly drilling did you hear me say that to Justin.

"Stop with the clickbait, you idiots."

Is Kamaru Usman injured?

At an open workout in Abu Dhabi, Usman was captured on video taking down his colleague Justin Gaethje and expressing concern about his knee.

However, in a subsequent YouTube post, Usman dismissed the narrative of an injury and called those who believed it "dummies".

"It's crazy seeing the tweet [about the injury]," Usman said.

"It just goes to show how crazy people just jump on news and media and go 'Oh, that must be true'.

"Whoever started it, whoever said they heard or saw, how could you have possibly heard what I said when it's me and Justin, on a stage, in front of thousands of people in a mall?

"Were you next to us where you heard what I was saying?

"How stupid. Just dumb. If my knee was hurt, why would I get up and continue hitting mitts?

"Oh my God. People believe anything you put on this internet.

"Anything, any f**king thing.

"Whoever that was, stop it. Stop with the clickbait. I did not say that. Clearly, I'm fine. Dummies: I'm fine."
