The 'Main Event' at UFC Vegas 84 will feature fighters Magomed Ankalaev and Johnny Walker in their second showdown in less than three months. This bout comes after their first meeting at UFC 294, held in Abu Dhabi, was stopped prematurely.
Ankalaev holds an undefeated streak in his last 11 UFC appearances. His last win dates back to the summer of 2022, when he defeated Anthony Smith at UFC 277, with a draw against Jan Bachowicz on Dec. 22, 2022 at UFC 282 and the aforementioned first fight against Walker.
In contrast, Walker reeled off three straight wins before facing Ankalaev for the first time. During this streak, he demonstrated greater composure and patience while maintaining his ability to finish fights quickly.
How much money will the fighters take?
According to various sources, both Anakalaev and Walker took around $100K each in base salary for their first fight at UFC 294, between base salary and incentives.
Both fighters can be expected to make a similar amount to what they made in their previous fight, considering it's a UFC Fight Night event, broadcast on television and not PPV like their previous fight at UFC 294.
