As Conor McGregor gears up for his highly-anticipated return to the octagon, concerns have been raised among fight fans following his recent night out. The Notorious is set to make his comeback on June 29 in the main event of UFC 303 in Las Vegas, and fans are eager to see him back in action.
He has been enjoying his time away from the octagon, indulging in his Proper No.12 Whiskey and Forged Irish Stout. However, his recent night out, just nine weeks before his comeback clash with Michael Chandler, has raised eyebrows.
The Irish fighter was spotted enjoying some of his Forged Stout at a launch party at Nanny's of Duleek in County Meath. Despite reports suggesting McGregor didn't overindulge, as he had been training hard with his sparring partners earlier in the day, concerns linger among fans.
McGregor even shared footage of the night with his 47 million Instagram followers, but some were quick to express their worries.
"He's going to get hurt against Chandler! Is there nobody but yes men in his camp telling him this is still 2015?" a wrote.
Another added: "Too many distractions, TBh. I'm worried about June 29."
The alcohol ban
The former two-division champion has since imposed a booze ban on himself, recognizing the importance of maintaining focus in the final eight weeks of his training camp.
McGregor's last fight was nearly three years ago when he broke his left leg in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier.
