It looks as though UFC 303 is going ahead as planed. This was confirmed by Michael Chandler (23-8) in an interview published this Saturday on 'The Pivot Podcast'.
The American, who will fight against Conor McGregor (22-6) in the Irishman's return to the octagon on June 29, has cleared the speculation surrounding the bout.
"I hope," said Chandler when asked whether he thought he had an fight, before jokingly responding: "Yeah, allegedly."
From there Chandler got serious, tellingformer football players Ryan Clark, Fred Taylor and Channing Crowder: "Yeah, the fight's happening. Obviously where we are there's a lot of speculation, but yeah, the fight is on, June 29, it's happening."
McGregor put fight in doubt
This is different from McGregor's recent comments. In fact, it is quite the opposite. McGregor's words raised suspicions about a possible cancellation, which only grew after the cancellation of the press conference scheduled for last Monday in Dublin.
