This saturday June 22, the former-UFC middleweight champion of the world, Robert Whittaker, will do battle with Ikram Aliskerov in a mouth-watering fight on ABC, but who else is competing in the intriguing night in Saudi Arabia?
General Entertainment Authority, Turki Alalshikh, continues to grow the Middle-Eastern nation's presence in combat sports, but capturing two of the better names out there at the moment to showcase the event in country's capital of Riyadh.
However, it's an unconventional preparation for both fighters as Aliskerov wasn't actually supposed to be there. He was drafted in to stand in for Khamzat Chimaev, who had to withdraw due to illness just before the scrap.
But that doesn't appear to bother the ex-champion too much. At the age of 33, the New Zealander has a lot of experience to his name so he enters this contest in a good space mentally as he looks for his 26th career win.
"I've flown this far, and I understand that I'm in the main event of the card, what comes with a level of responsibility, is how I make a living," Whittaker told media, as per BJPenn.com. "I wanted to fight, I wanted the show to go on and I wanted to do my job, so I take my hat off to Ikram for agreeing to the fight and to the UFC for hosting it, and I'm looking forward to putting on a show."

Either way, there is now a fight that will go ahead on Sunday night, which can be viewed live in the United States on ABC or ESPN Desportes, whilst additionally, Fubo and ESPN+ will show fights throughout the evening.
