Conor McGregor's social media s are a continuous cascade of attacks against characters of all kinds. Fighters and non-fighters. In his latest attack, McGregor took aim at superstar boxer Canelo Alvarez.
McGregor, who is arguably the biggest media star of all time in the UFC and a co-owner of the Bare Knuckle, did not hold back in attacking the Mexican fighter with a message on X that he quickly deleted.
McGregor takes aim at Canelo
The Irishman made it clear that he won't be tuning into Canelo's showdown with Edgar Berlanga, which will take place on the same date and in the same city as UFC 306 on Sept. 14, the UFC's first event at The Sphere in Las Vegas. Canelo's fight will be at the nearby T-Mobile Arena.
McGregor's response stems from Canelo's recent comments that he wants $200 million to face Berlanga.
"Canelo is a cornflake. He has about 300k buys in him. He does not generate nothing near what he seeks to be paid. UFC NOCHE is going to run them from the strip. Sheik Turki was right moving on. CANELO DOESN'T SELL," he stated. Turki, the owner of Almeria, is the main sponsor of UFC 306 through the company Riyadh Season.
