Israel Adesanya and Daniel Cormier gush about Pereira

In one of those sit downs that Daniel Cormier does on his channel, he took some time to speak to Israel Adesanya ahead of UFC 305. On tht interview, Adesanya started praising Alex but still letting a clear message he still beat him the last time they fought. When he hinted at a compliment, cormier interrupted him to ask just how well does Izzy think Pereira is doing right now. Adesanya just let DC know: "I know how good he is, I fought him four times." But at the end of the conversation, both of them seemed really impressed with the way Pereira has handled himself in the light heavyweight division.

Ever since he lost the fight against Adesanya, Pereira knew he needed to fight people who were closer to his own weight. Walking, he reaches between 220 and 230 pounds. That is still well above the 205 pounds you need to fight at light heavyweight. In reality, Alex Pereira is better suited to fight at heavyweight and he does have plans to become the first UFC fighter in history to become a three-division champion. If he does that, Pereira has the chance to become the most successful UFC star in history.
