- Dana White: Our fighters have a higher level of stupidity
Who says that mixed martial arts fighters don't have a heart. And also, they never forget. Billionaire fighter owed Conor McGregor paid a debt he had with someone that lent him some money to him when he was in need back in the day.
Paddy Brady, a technician from his early days, was who helped him when he needed assistance with a situation that ultimately ended up changing his life. He had to buy some tools while he was working as a plumber, a job that helped him get to where he is now.
Conor McGregor is one of the highest-paid athletes in the world, but he still had this unusual debt to someone that was an old coach. It was £61 the amount that he needed to pay back, and he was committed to deliver the money.
An emotional reunion to pay
After 15 years, Conor McGregor he returned to his home gym and handed over the check to pay Paddy Brady, but that was not the only emotional moment the two shared, as after the exchange, the MMA fighter's old coach made it even more special.
"That is the money he has owed me for 15 years. I got him his tools when he was going to fix the pipes and he never paid me," said Paddy Brady, who got into the ring at the Crumlin Boxing Club to spend some time with the Irishman, now retired from mixed martial arts.
The check will not be cashed and will be framed to remain in the display cases at the gym and Conor had an emotional time after he learned about this, as they both will have a stronger bond forever.
