The excitement of mixed martial arts will have its final flourish of 2024 with the last card of UFC Fight Night, headlined by Colby Covington (17-4) and Joaquin Buckley (20-6), at the Amelie Arena in Tampa, Florida, this Saturday, December 14.
The original UFC Fight Night 63 card had Ian Garry and Buckley himself, but the Irishman stepped in on December 7 to face Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC 310, due to the injury of welterweight champion Belal Muhammad.
It will be Covington's return to the octagon after a year of inactivity, with three losses in his last five fights, the last one against Leon Edwards at UFC 296, so one more setback would put his career in jeopardy, while Buckley comes in with a five-fight winning streak, three of them by knockout and has not lost since December 2022.
