Today, Saturday, May 17, the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, opens its doors to host the UFC Vegas 106 Fight Night event, which will feature Gilbert Burns and undefeated Michael Morales as the main event, who will settle their differences in the octagon to win the welterweight title.

As is customary in UFC and boxing events, no official figures have been released on how much the two fighters will earn for stepping into the octagon and putting on a great show as they surely will, but the expected figures in the combined purse could be around a quarter of a million dollars for both fighters.

Burns has more of a reputation than his opponent, as he comes with the background of having pocketed nearly $200,000 in his fight against Sean Brady at UFC Vegas 97 last September, while Morales has lower expectations, having earned $54,000 in his fight against Neil Magny, whom he knocked out at the UFC Vegas 96.

Morales is on the rise so calculations expect him to double that amount for the simple fact of getting into the octagon, while 'Durinho' is not so lucky and will see his income from his last appearance reduced.

A line-up that promises great excitement

Other fights on the card in the so-called 'Sin City' on Saturday night include the eagerly awaited clash between veteran Paul Craig and Rodolfo Bellato in the light heavyweight division, Sodiq Yusuff vs Mairon Santos in the lightweight division and Dustin Stoltzfus and Nursulton Ruziboev in the middleweight division.
