Este domingo nos jugamos uno de los partidos del ao: la semifinal de Copa. EnKiryat Shmonase respira ambiente copero y a cada sitio que voy solo me dicen que hay que ganar como sea...

Va a ser una semifinal difcil contraBeitar Jerusalema partido nico; ellos estn haciendo una gran temporada y tienen opciones de ganar la Liga tambin.

En mi carrera he tenido la fortuna de clasificarme para varias semifinales y cinco finales. Inolvidables las semis deCopa de la UEFAconOsasunaen 2007 y dos aos antes esa temporada enCopa del Reyen la que solo camos con elBetisen la prrroga.

Con elAston Villatambin logr el pase a una final, enWembley. Fue en2010, en laCarling Cup, y en aquella ocasin tambin nos quedamos a las puertas del ttulo,cayendo 2-1.

Pero fue en elGlasgow Rangersdonde ms finales -fueron tres, y ganamos dos- jugu y de donde quiero sacar una de las ancdotas ms divertidas de mi carrera. Fue en laCopa de Escocia, que ganamos enHampden ParkalQueen of the South.Tras el pitido final, con la euforia, un rival me pidi la camiseta y no me lo pens: se la di mientras me abrazaba con todo el que pasaba por all. El problema vino cuando al rato un compaero me dijo que haba que subir al palco a por el trofeo y las medallas... y yo sin camiseta.

Casi sin tiempo de reaccin, me fui a por el portero suplente y le ped la camiseta. Necesitaba subir a por la copa con algo de ropa! As que el compaero me dio la camiseta, me la puse corriendo y sub al palco. se es el motivo por el que en las fotos salgo con esa camiseta amarilla sobre la que tanta gente me pregunta. Ojal esta temporada pueda vivir una ancdota parecida.

This Sunday we play againstKiryat Shmonain one of the season's best matches: TheCupSemifinal. Thrill is all around and everybody is asking us about the game.

They say that we have to do whatever it takes to win. We confrontBeitar Jerusalem, who also fights for the League, in a single match, so the winner goes to the Cup Final. I want to speak about that today, about my good Cup memories.

I've had the luck of qualifying myself to several Semifinals and 5 Finals. Unforgettable are theUEFA CupSemifinals atOsasunain 2007 and two years before that season in theCopa del Reyof Spain in which we lost againstBetisin extra time.

AtAston VillaI also got to a Final atWembley,2010,Carling Cup,and in that ocassion we also lost 2-1 at the doorstep of the title.

But it was atGlasgow Rangerswere we got to more Finals, 3 to be specific, and we won 2, and from where I take one of the best anecdotes of my life. It was in the Scotland Cup that we won againstQueen of the SouthatHampden Park. After the final whistle, with the euphoria, a rival asked for my shirt and I didn't hesitate, I gave it to him whilst I huged everybody in the team. The problem came when a teammate told me that we had to go up to the box seat to get the trophy and the medals... and I wasn't wearing a shirt.

Almost without time to react, I went to the reserve keeper and asked for his shirt. I needed to get the Cup with some clothes! So my teammate gave me his shirt, I put it on and went up running. That's the reason why I wear a yellow keeper's shirt on the pictures. I wish I can live something like that again this season.
