Having just changed promotions for a new partner that will secure him $100 million, Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez has finally made the official announcement of his next fight. As it was expected, the Mexican champion will defend all his titles against Jermell Charlo in the first event promoted by Al Haymon. It will be a fight for supremacy in the Super Middleweight division between arguably the two best boxers that the sport has to offer. The fight is slated for September but it's not going to happen during the Mexico Independence Day weekend. It is actually taking place on September 30 and it will be a Showtime Pay-Per-View event. As a venue, Las Vegas will be the city but the venue is still being decided right now.

Canelo made the announcement himself
Through his Instagram , Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez made the anouncement with the following caption: "Undisputed vs Undisputed. Sept. 30, Las Vegas." Confirming the date and the opponent that will finally give Canelo a chance to get ready for the fight. with this undisputed champions' fight, a new era in Canelo fights is kicking off under the Premier Boxing Champions banner. Unlike before, Alvarez won't fight on DAZN but on Showtime. This has to be amongst the most complicated rivals that Alvarez has faced throughout his entire career. Beating Charlo will no doubt shut all his critics up once and for all.
Jermell Charlo is amongst the strongest and fastest Super Middleweight fighters in recent moemory. If there is anybody who can give Canelo a run for his money, that man is definitely Jermell Charlo. Although he is slightly lighter than Canelo, the two fighters will meet in the middle and fight for both the Super Middleweight and the Light Middleweight belts. It's a great fight for the month of September, one that will be a great challenge for the Mexican star.
