Danger ahead for Mike Tyson: A shocking ission could stop the Jake Paul bout from going ahead

The war of words continues between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul as the two boxers prepare for their highly-anticipated bout on Nov. 15. The fight will mark Tyson's return to the ring in his first professional fight since 2005...if it goes ahead at all.

Tyson's recent media appearances have prompted concern that this "fight of the century" could end up being cancelled entirely following a previous postponement in light of Iron Mike's ulcer flare-up earlier this year. The 58-year-old has made some explosive remarks in the public forum -- and the Texas Commission is going to take notice, sooner rather than later.

Tyson's drug use could derail the fight

In recent days, Tyson has openly discussed his drug usage -- including marijuana and "magic" mushrooms. He has also claimed that he will be "high" when he steps into the ring at AT&T Stadium on Nov. 15, saying it is "possible" he could smoke some weed before the big showdown in Arlington, Texas.

Back in 2020, Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. took part in an exhibition bout at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles -- a fight that was not professional but had been approved by the California Commission, in a state where marijuana is legal to use recreationally.

That's not the case in Texas. The state's boxing commission could easily take a closer look at Tyson's remarks and demand assurances from the former heavyweight champion in order to keep the fight alive -- such as ing a drug test shortly before the bell rings.

But as of now, this fight remains on track, and the excitement around Tyson's return to the ring against the fiery Paul, who has won 10 of his 11 official fights since entering boxing. And Iron Mike is ready to take back his mantle as the "Baddest Man on the Planet" come November.
