Good afternoon everybody and welcome along to this MARCA in English Formula 1 live blog, wherein we will be taking you through the 2022 Dutch Grand Prix Race lap by lap.

Max Verstappen climbed back from 14th on the grid at Spa-Francorchamps to extend his championship lead over teammate Sergio Perez to 93 points.

Dutch fans will be hoping for a similarly dominant performance this weekend, especially since Verstappen showed he's a force to be reckoned with at Zandvoort after winning last year's race by more than 20 seconds over Lewis Hamilton.

Verstappen will start Sunday's Dutch GP from pole position after beating Charles Leclerc to top spot in qualifying by just 0.021s. The Ferrari driver was actually ahead by 0.059s after the first runs in Q3, with Red Bull looking much improved after a difficult Friday.

Verstappen its race wasn't straightforward

Despite winning his fourth race on the trot the Red Bull driver highlighted how his win in Zandvoort was far from easy.

It was not a straightforward race but we had to push, of course with safety car, virtual safety car, making the right calls," Verstappen said.

"Always a bit of question mark but it worked out really well. Once we got back to the soft tyres we had great pace again.

"We timed it [the Safety Car restart] really well out of that last corner into the banking. You could see the draft was quite strong and we got ahead. It's incredible to win again.

"It's always special to win your home GP. This year I had to work for it even more. An incredible weekend and I'm really happy we got the Dutch GP."
