The sixth race of the 2024 Formula 1 season is set to take place at the Miami International Autodrome, which with its 5.412 km length will be a tough test for the 20 drivers who will have to challenge the changing and harsh conditions of the circuit for 57 laps.

With Max Verstappen leading the drivers' championship (110 points) and Red Bull Racing leading the Constructors' championship (195 points), before today's Sprint, Miami is a turning point for all the teams.

Last year, "Mad Max" won the race, followed by his teammate Sergio 'Checo' Perez and Spain's two-time world champion Fernando Alonso. This year, Qualy will take place just three hours after the Sprint race, which was won by Verstappen.

Pole Position for Max Verstappen after dominating Q3

Q3 of the Miami Grand Prix was very competitive, with Reb Bull, Ferrari and McLaren fighting for the top spots. In the end, it was Max Verstappen who set the fastest time, clocking 1:27.241 and taking Pole Position for tomorrow's race, his sixth consecutive of the season.

Max was followed by Charles Leclerc and his teammate Carlos Sainz. Sergio Perez will start fourth, in the second row.

Ferrari takes the Q2 with Charles Leclerc

After a Q2 in which several drivers tried different configurations, the times were dominated by Charles Leclerc, with 1:27.533, followed by Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton. Stroll, Gasly, Ocon, Alonso and Albon, eliminated.

After Q1, Red Bull and McLaren dominate

Q1 is dominated by Max Verstappen, who came first with 1:27.689, followed by Perez and Norris. Bottas, Magnussen, Ricciardo, Zhou and Sargeant, out.

Ed Sheeran visits the Ferrari garage

Prior to qualifying for the Miami GP, the Ferrari team had a visit to its garage by British singer Ed Sheeran, who exchanged words and comments with driver Charles Leclerc.

To add to the excitement, there are three designated DRS zones strategically placed after turns T9, T16, and the apex of T19, providing ample opportunities for overtaking.
