Formula 1 Team Mercedes driver George Russell believes that the 2024 season has been "one of the best" of his career so far, and is currently at the seventh spot on the standings with 155 points.

The 26-year-old Briton understands that Mercedes is one of the most successful teams in the sport, and it's a seat that many drivers want.

His teammate, Lewis Hamilton, is currently at the sixth spot of the driver standings with 177 points.

Before the 2024 United States Grand Prix, which takes place over at Circuit of The Americas in Austin this Sunday, October 20, Russell and Hamilton got a chance to show off their football skills and fans were impressed.

F1 posted a video on their social media of the Mercedes drivers setting up a field goal: Hamilton holds a football and Russell kicks it with a lot of power, earning an ovation from the crowd.

On Friday, Russell showed off his skills throwing a football around the Circuit of The Americas.

This got us thinking that the driver could be trying out for an NFL team pretty soon. However, he's definitely going to need to learn the logos of the teams, as he clearly struggled to identify the mascot of a college football team.

On a video posted on the F1 social media, Russell thought that the logo of a tiger was that of the Jacksonville Jaguars

This Saturday, Max Verstappen returned to winning ways in the Sprint at the United States Grand Prix, withe the Dutchman taking an assured win from pole position to add to his points tally as championship rival Lando Norris lost P2 to Carlos Sainz in the final moments.
