Shakira reveals how she met Gerard Pique

Shakira's new song dedicated to Pique

Talking about her relationship with Barcelona defender, Gerard Pique, Shakira confessed that the couple got to know each other in Madrid, having drinks with the defender's former teammate Cesc Fabregas.

Although rumours said that the famous singer met Pique during the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, she explained that they first got acquainted in the Spanish capital, where they took their first photo together, with Shakira dedicating her song 'Me enamorame' to her partner.

The 30-year-old star promised Shakira that his team will go all the way to the final to see her performing her half-time show and the Colombian signer claimed she was glad that he met his promise, during an interview with Pablo Motos on Antena 3 show 'El Hormiguero'.

Shakira is currently promoting her new album 'El Dorado', which went on sale on May 26 and in less than 24 hours is already number one in the world on iTunes.
